How the day works

The basic format is four hours for the island circuit or the Sorrento coast, seven hours for the full day out to Capri, Positano or Amalfi. How to check before you pay

Second: plan for the balance, because it is paid in cash or by card on the boat at the end of the service, not online. Third: if your date is not certain, remember that the free window is generous but closes early — fifteen days — and after that you risk the 30% you have paid. Fourth: ask for written confirmation of the port taxes and the Blue Grotto ticket, the two items that most often cause arguments at the quay.

For a couple it is no contest: the package costs a fraction and includes the crossing from Naples. With eight of you, the Capri classic at €1,018 works out at about €127 a head with the boat to yourselves, and the gap with the premium package narrows; with lunch at Nerano and a swim stop, plenty of people would rather pay it. The verdict

This is the best-documented operator of the group: VAT number in plain sight, a fleet described with dimensions and berths, explicit inclusions, contract and bad-weather policy published. The price puts it in the upper bracket and paying the balance in cash to the crew is awkward, but the rules are known before you book, which is the only thing that really matters when you hand over a deposit. Excellent for groups of six to eight and for anyone arriving by cruise ship; out of all proportion for a couple with a single day in hand.
